Elizabeth has been interested in photography since she was a child.  Her interest evolved from simple snapshots to more composed work in college.

After some years away, she took up her camera again, using photos to illustrate the unique in the everyday.  She hopes her photos allow others to appreciate the beauty in the mundane; to stop and notice the texture of tree bark or the delicate veins of fallen leaves. Elizabeth’s images are a meditation on the ordinary.

 

Elizabeth expresses her vision through macro-focus on the texture of a temple bell, as well as through the wider point of view of a misty mountainside.  She works primarily in color, but finds black & white can be very expressive with the right subject.

 

Through her photographs, Elizabeth depicts the world with a reflective eye and in the context of singularity, whether it is in detail, separation, or solitude.
