WATERMARK GALLERIES

FINE ART PHOTOGRAPHY

Located in the historic hamlet of St. James on Long Island, NY, Watermark Galleries exhibits work by photographic Artists that tell unique and emotional stories. One of only a few photography galleries on Long Island, the Gallery represents a variety of local mid-career and emerging photographic artists. Works range from soaring seascapes and coastal landscapes to distinctive impressionist and abstract images. Pricing is affordable, ranging from $75 to $900 per piece.

Curated by Landscape Photographer Bob Retnauer, the Gallery exhibits multiple artists at one time and all artwork is professionally staged and lighted. The Gallery welcomes and encourages serious photographic artists to submit their best work for recurring exhibitions and sales. Contact us by phone, e-mail or text to submit a portfolio for consideration.

Although the Gallery is located in a traditional office building, it is an unpretentious and inviting venue for exhibitions, competitions, receptions, lectures and other arts-related events. We are proud to be an integral part of the resurgence of the St. James Historic Cultural Arts District. The Gallery offers:

  • Gallery and on-line representation of  photographic artists.

  • Sales of seascape, landscape and other fine art photographic images in many sizes, mediums and finishes.

  • Custom art installation consultations - help with choosing images, sizing and formats to fit your space.

  • Bi-monthly themed exhibitions & free opening evening receptions (see 2019 schedule here)

  • Student competitions and exhibitions.

  • Photography lectures and demonstrations.
