ARTIST : Jay James

Jay James is an enthusiast photographer working primarily in black and white film. A Suffolk County resident for the past 20 years, Jay spends his free time exploring and photographing the natural beauty of Long Island, especially marshes and dunes. He’s most active during the quieter months when he can work at a slower pace and enjoy the process. Much of Jay’s work focuses on texture, with the hope of creating images that evoke the peace, solitude, and serenity he feels when wandering alone with his cameras.
